This is a book to be read slowly and savoured. There were plenty of quotes that have found their way into my commonplace book. Readers will find help, comfort, wise counsel, and spiritual compass, and be able to say with Rutherford, “Every day we may see some new thing in Christ.

Would that letters or emails of this quality were written now. Excellent pamphlet for meditation and reflection Worth every penny. This was a lovely gift from eamuel I value greatly, and I enjoyed reading through this book on a devotional level for the last month or so.
But the format of the book is really better for a print book. Rutherford is thought to have rutherfofd a major influence on the Shorter Catechism. This soul of ours hath love, and cannot but love some fair one; and O, what a fair One, what an only One, what an excellent, lovely, ravishing One is Jesus.
